Projects + Experience
The Emerson-Franklin Community Development Corporation (CDC) was formed to advance economic growth at the Port of Entry. Through a collaborative engagement process with many important community stakeholders in the surrounding neighbourhoods, the new development will provide all the components of a complete community. This will include a 10,000 square foot safe and accessible community space and purpose built housing that will support students, indigenous residents, and many others.
One of the biggest procedural challenges for this project is generating support from all levels of government in a Public Private Partnership, on top of generating support at the community level. Multi-level support is crucial to accomplishing the progressive vision for the site.
