There is a saying in Winnipeg, when you are stuck and can’t get a project moving, you call John. His tenacity and passion are backed up with his vast knowledge base on every aspect of development in Winnipeg, MB.

John was drawn to the planning profession because of his experience as a University of Winnipeg student in the early 1990s. Spending a lot of time in downtown Winnipeg, he wanted to be part of making positive changes in the city he loved. Since then he has been a part of many planning projects that have helped keep Winnipeggers here and brought many others to this great city.

A seasoned urban/community planning professional, John is a well-known subject matter expert and represents clients in municipal development approval processes and land expropriations and litigation matters. His expertise in planning policies, processes, regulations, by-laws, and development scenarios is an asset to both his clients and his firm.
​
Throughout his career, John has provided technical advice at hundreds of public hearings regarding planning, land-use policies, regulations, and municipal engineering requirements. He has also analyzed and evaluated well over 1,000 land use and development applications.
